PV Boccasam

Prashanth, or "PV", is a general partner with Novak Biddle Venture Partners and has over 20 years of operational and executive management experience. In addition to Copiun, PV is currently on the boards of Appfluent, Appian and Centrifuge Systems. He was also an investor and co-founder of ClearStandards, sold to SAP AG in May 2009.

PV was the founder and CEO (2001-2008) of Approva Corporation and founder and president (1996-2000) of Entevo, Corp..  Both of these enterprise software companies were invested in by top tier venture capitalists and successfully acquired.  PV's career was launched at Microsoft where he managed enterprise-class products and directed consulting services.

PV is President-Elect and a board member of TiE-DC. PV is also the Chairperson of Pratham-DC, India's largest non-governmental educational non-profit group. He is an investor and advisor in Communikids — Washington DC Metro area's one and only premier bilingual pre-school for children.

PV holds advanced degrees in Computer Science from the University of Pune (India) and the University of Cincinnati, and is a graduate of the Executive Management Program at MIT's Sloan School. PV is also a Fellow at University of Maryland Smith Business School.

Tad Witkowicz

Tad Witkowicz is a Member of Boston Harbor Angels and of HUB Angels in Boston. His career spans over 25 years of starting and building high technology companies - from Research Engineer at Bell Northern Research and Valtec earlier in his career to his three successive roles as Founder and CEO of Artel, CrossComm Corporation, and Adlex, all three of which had very successful exits, including two IPOs.  Since 2005 he has been active as an angel investor and mentor for young entrepreneurs.

Tad has several patents and published numerous technical and business articles. He attended University of Toronto where he received a Masters degree in Physics in 1976.

Puneesh Chaudhry

Puneesh Chaudhry is co-founder and CEO of Copiun.  Puneesh co-founded Copiun along with Sanjay Jain with a vision to enable companies to manage their user data - ensuring its safety and ease of access, regardless of whether it lives on the edge of the network or within the datacenter.  

Puneesh brings over 10 years of experience in data protection in various technology and business roles.  Prior to Copiun, Puneesh was at EMC where he was responsible for strategy, M&A and business operations for EMC’s Storage Software Group.  Puneesh helped define EMC’s data protection and de-duplication strategy, leading key acquisitions and their integration to realize their benefits.  Prior to that, Puneesh held various technology and management roles where he led the creation of multiple data protection products from the ground up.

Puneesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Delhi College of Engineering and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Sanjay Jain – CTO

Sanjay Jain is co-founder and CTO of Copiun, where he is responsible for providing overall technology leadership, managing the engineering team and for delivering a high quality solution. His passion for finding unique and innovative ways to solve challenging problems is evident in Copiun’s solution.

Sanjay has over 20 years of software development experience with over 10 years of experience in storage and data protection. Prior to Copiun, Sanjay was Lead Architect for VMware integration into EMC’s data protection products. Sanjay also managed many large software development projects onshore and offshore. Earlier in his career, Sanjay was Business Unit Manager at River Run Software Group; Software Consultant at NCR; and Software Engineer at DCM Data System.

Sanjay holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology and a Master of Technology in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur.
