Puneesh Chaudhry – CEO
Puneesh Chaudhry is co-founder and CEO of Copiun. Puneesh co-founded Copiun along with Sanjay Jain with a vision to enable companies to manage their user data - ensuring its safety and ease of access, regardless of whether it lives on the edge of the network or within the datacenter.
Puneesh brings over 10 years of experience in data protection in various technology and business roles. Prior to Copiun, Puneesh was at EMC where he was responsible for strategy, M&A and business operations for EMC’s Storage Software Group. Puneesh helped define EMC’s data protection and de-duplication strategy, leading key acquisitions and their integration to realize their benefits. Prior to that, Puneesh held various technology and management roles where he led the creation of multiple data protection products from the ground up.
Puneesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Delhi College of Engineering and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Sanjay Jain – CTO
Sanjay Jain is co-founder and CTO of Copiun, where he is responsible for providing overall technology leadership, managing the engineering team and for delivering a high quality solution. His passion for finding unique and innovative ways to solve challenging problems is evident in Copiun’s solution.
Sanjay has over 20 years of software development experience with over 10 years of experience in storage and data protection. Prior to Copiun, Sanjay was lead Architect for VMware integration into EMC’s data protection products. Sanjay also managed many large software development projects onshore and offshore. Earlier in his career, Sanjay was Business Unit Manager at River Run Software Group; Software Consultant at NCR; and Software Engineer at DCM Data System.
Sanjay holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology and a Master of Technology in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur.
Neil McNamara – VP Sales and Business Development
Neil McNamara is VP of Sales and Business Development, responsible for Copiun's overall go-to-market strategy including building the sales team, engaging the channel, and developing strategic partnerships.
Neil comes to Copiun with a 25 year career in Technology Sales and Sales Management which includes hardware, software and SaaS. Neil brings experience in all aspects of go-to market strategies including direct sales, channel sales and inside sales management. Neil’s extensive experience in the dynamic and often chaotic world of technology startups will be essential in helping him build a successful sales organization at Copiun.
Neil has held sales management and executive roles at CheckPoint Software, AirDefense, and SurfControl where he succeeded in increasing revenues, defining sales practices, and building winning and stable sales teams.
Neil holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Science from Westfield State College.
Richard April - VP of Marketing
Richard April is the VP of Marketing at Copiun where he is responsible for all aspects marketing including developing and executing their Inbound and Outbound marketing strategies.
Richard brings over 20 years of experience at start-ups, early stage and pre IPO companies in the storage, security, software, networking hardware, and computer industries. Most recently Richard held VP of Marketing roles at Copan Systems, Ipswitch, and Cyber-Ark Software. He will be leveraging his experience running all facets of global marketing programs, marketing communications, product marketing, social media, branding, market research, channel marketing, etc. to generate awareness and demand for Copiuns' solutions.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McGill University.
